Agram Group Build Project #1 (part 8)
In this series of articles, we will follow our Goran, Kruno and Marko in the making of a diorama set in New York / Gotham in the mid-1980s. Diorama is being built as part of a new UMS "Agram" project called Agram Group Build, which was created after the trio discussed joint projects to be done on Wednesdays and how cool it would be to gather more people to work on something together… This gave birth to the idea of Group Builds... The idea is for everyone to do something on each of these three projects - the main rule (except that there are no rules) is not to mess with other people's work. That we all participate and make some kind of Frankenstein monster ...
KRUNO: This week’s meeting started in a steampunk atmosphere. In the comfortable armchair of the cafe with a cup of hot green tea and not very pleasant mechanical humming and whining of the powerful air conditioner. We then went to the premises and prepared the workshop space in accordance with the epidemiological measures. Unfortunately we don't have a steampunk camera and projector yet, but as soon as we get one set we will install them. We have now resorted to the kit we have.
After the workshop attendees came and started working under Marko’s supervision, I reviewed what more of the elements for the Group Build diorama I could finish. One trash can and two small gas cylinders were assembled, and then I threw myself into cleaning the resin valves.
I quickly concluded that it was quite a risky business, because without print supports the valve wheel is very susceptible to breaking. So I only cleaned two ... one large and one small to test what it looks like when connected to a plasticard tube. Not bad. I am completely satisfied…
This time, the tabletop wargamers worked collectively on the maintenance of their pets and painted them new make-up, clothes, shoes, weapons, etc. It was nice to watch and listen to them. It has now become customary to have in the same room two or three sections of the association doing their tasks. And it's a good feeling.
MARKO: WOT 'E SAID ^^ plus a couple more pics...
I always like to play with fire!
The Guys upstairs, instead of playing Domagoj’s Slow Grow League, decided to paint their miniatures instead. A beautiful feeling to have a dosen people painting in one place!
And these are the consequences of forcing yourself :D
Feel free to contact us here if you are interested! We are every Wednesday from 6 pm to 10 pm in KD ZZTK on Trg žrtava fašizma 14.
