Swiss Guard Zombie
I recently received a zombie miniature in an unusual costume. He could have been an actor or a pirate or something, but his style of clothing reminded me of the Swiss Guard, so I decided on those colors as well.
The figurine is cast, so there was a lot of mess to clean, and considering that the clothes on the figurine are quite scratched, you had to be careful where everything ends or starts.
The painting itself was relatively simple. I messed around the most with the butt of the pistol, because I wanted to achieve the effect of wood on wooden parts. It was also interesting to work on skin and injuries (bones sticking out of limbs, open part of the brain, etc.).
All in all, everything was done in about 20 hours of work and it was a fun and relaxing project. I had no expectations from him, so I worked relaxed and without "fear" of making a mistake.
