MINIATURE PAINTING WORKSHOP – 75mm Dwarf

CONTENT:
The workshop will be held over two days (a whole weekend) and participants will paint a 75mm miniature dwarf. The focus of these lectures will be painting various textures – metal, human skin, textiles and leather. Water-based acrylic paints will be used during the workshop. For this purpose, the workshop leader, Ivan Knezović, chose a 75mm miniature dwarf from Durgin Paint Forge, sculpted by Carlos Perez Bugedo. The lectures will be adjusted so that the leader will devote equal time to all participants and will be able to adapt to all categories of miniaturists (from beginners to slightly more advanced).

Miniature Painting Workshop in Bjelovar

In collaboration with the "Petar Preradović" National Library in Bjelovar, we are organizing a miniature painting workshop in Bjelovar.

At the first meeting on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 5:00 PM, we will learn the basics, and then at the second meeting on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 5:00 PM, we will hold a miniature painting workshop.

The lecture and workshop will be held in the room of the Matica Hrvatska Branch in Bjelovar, in the Bjelovar Theater building on the 1st floor (Trg Eugena Kvaternika 7).

The workshop is led by Dalibor Čavić.

All materials are provided - you just bring your good will and curiosity. You will keep the painted miniature.

Back to Basics Workshops in Libraries of Zagreb in 2026

We invite you to the LIBRARIES OF THE CITY OF ZAGREB to our Back To Basics miniature painting workshops for the youngest, which are completely FREE for all participants!

The Back to Basics method is a method of making models and miniatures that focuses on a fun process intended for younger ages, but everyone is welcome! In three separate sessions on Thursdays, participants (aged 7+) will paint miniatures of their choice (knight, princess, king, wizard and barbarian). Each session is its own separate entity and registration is required for each workshop that the participant wishes to attend.

Small groups - up to four participants per instructor

Maximum number of participants per session: 8

The first set of workshops will be held in the Children's Department of the Medveščak Library at Ulica Kralja Zvonimira 17.

Back to Basics Workshops @ Exhibition of Miniatures and Tabletop Scenery Agram 2026

During our Exhibition of Miniatures and Tabletop Scenery Agram 2026, every weekday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, we will also organize Back to Basics miniature painting workshops for the youngest (8+).

FREE ENTRY!

The workshops (lasting approx. 1 hour) are suitable for the youngest users because they only use basic techniques, tools and materials and provide an easier approach to miniaturism and model making by focusing on the fun process of making, as opposed to the usual insistence on waiting for the final result, which most often brings stress to younger participants.

In each session, four participants will be able to color and assemble their own figure (which they then take home).

ABOUT THE TUTOR: ANŽE ZORKO - Born in 1993 in Kranj. He has been in the hobby since he was 12 years old. Like most, he started with planes and tanks, but in the last 3 years he has been working more and more with figures. He paints all kinds of figures, but his favorite are fantasy miniatures, where he can translate all his ideas onto the "canvas".
