Like the previous two times, we started the last part of this tutorial by shaking the paint on a vortex mixer (colloquially called a jerkmeister).
This time we went through the topics of highlighting and layering. Basically, these are the same thing, because they are based on highlighting the more protruding parts of the miniature with gradually lighter colors in a smaller and smaller area, so that certain details of the figure attract attention.
It is not out of place to mention here, as this was Daniel's third painting lesson, that he had already mastered the strengthening of the hand, as well as the use of the stand for painting the figure.
With the colors Basic Flesh, Golden Skin and Light skin, he highlighted the bumps on the face.
He highlighted the golden metal parts with Viking Gold paint, although the lines are not thin enough, the author of these lines believes that he managed well, considering that it was the first time he did something like this, which counts as fine motor skills.
Then he highlighted the metal details on the chains, paws and weapons with Heavy Metal paint.
Finally, he used Deep Red and Antares Red to highlight the folds on the back of the cloak.
All in all, an interesting experience for me as a teacher, as well as for Danijela as a student. He was definitely interested in painting miniatures, however, due to the lack of space and time to pursue this hobby, that interest will wait for better days.
In the hope that better days will come as soon as possible, I want to thank him for his teaching and patience, as well as for his time.
